dcgs, Airbus, ottobrunnready for take-off

The "Data Centre Germany South", DCGS as it is known within the Group, is a central data center solution for all Airbus sites in southern Germany. It is located on the Airbus Defence & Space campus in Ottobrunn near Munich.

In the first step, it was expanded to 150 racks. The overall facility is designed for 300 racks on 2 data center floors.

The technology is pre-configured enabling expansion reserves to be activated within approx. 6 months. This data center is designed according to the award-winning e-Cube principle. Ottobrunn has its own site cooling network, so that it was possible to dispense with a separate cooling system for the data center.

The first rack was commissioned in 2016 and since then the data center has been continuously expanded.
